Power Talk : Journey To Asia Torism Forum 2016

STPB, November 11th, 2015 | Welcoming the Asia Tourism Forum 2016 (the 12th Biennial Conference), STP Bandung organized the "Power Talk: Journey to Asia Tourism Forum 2016" seminar on Wednesday, November 11th, 2015. The event was opened with speech by the Director of STP Bandung, Drs. Anang Sutono, MM.Par., CHE.
Took place in the Hall on the 6th floor of Ciremai Building of STP Bandung, this seminar featured International level keynote speaker, Prof. Kaye Chon, Ph.D., CHE, FIH from Hong Kong Polytechnic University who presented the topic of "Icon Hotel Success Story". He is an Asia prominent tourism leader and also the founder of Asia Tourism Forum. The other keynote speaker was Prof. Alastair M. Morrison, Ph.D., who presented the topic of "Tourism Research: Issues and Trends". He is an author and also the world's tourism leader, and for this ATF 2016 event, he is the coordinator of the Paper Reviewers.
Bandung Institute of Tourism hosted the ATF 2012 (the 10th Biennial Conference). The success of the implementation of ATF makes STP Bandung re-elected to be the host of Asia Tourism Forum for the second time that will be held on May 7th-9th, 2016 with the theme for the forum is "A New Approach Of Wonderful Tourism".
Asia Tourism Forum was first held in 1993 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Held every two years (Biennial), Asia Tourism Forum has become an international forum that provide an opportunity for presentation and discussion for their research outcomes among the tourism industry practitioners, academicians, researchers, government officials and tourism policy makers, and those who are interested in hospitality and tourism to come together to exchange vital information for sustainable tourism industry development in Asia and in the world. This event is expected to contribute the World Tourism in general and Indonesia Tourism in particular.
Along with the Pre-Event of ATF 2016 , there were also the Launching of HELIC (Hotel Executive Learning Center) by Mr. Reza Sunardi who is also the General Manager of Padma Resort Ubud Bali. HELIC is school for the candidates of Hotel General Manager. In addition, there were also the delivery of donations from IOM STPB (Association of Student’s Parents STPB) to IHRA DPD West Java. The activities closed by a Press Conference that presented Mr. Anang Sutono, Prof. Kaye Chon, Prof. Morrison, as well as Mrs. Endang K. Sinaga.
